COMMON QUESTIONS

WHICH OF YOUR CLASSES IS BEST SUITED FOR ME?

I always tend to advise new students to try a class like Beginners or Hatha to see if yoga in general is for them! Once a more gentle class is tried, and perhaps isnt challenging enough, I encourage students to step up into either Power Flow or Yoga for Runners which are more physically challenging classes. Listening to your body and what it needs is the key to choosing your yoga class! And once you have 'chosen', it doesn't mean you can only do that class forever. Mixing it up in your yoga practice will provide you with variety and excitement!

AM I TOO OLD TO START YOGA?

This question was posed to me by my Mom a year ago, and the answer is a resounding NO! You are never too old to start a yoga practice and the benefits will only grow with time. Core strength, balance, flexibility, mental health...all will grow and develop alongside your knowledge of yoga and your practice in general.

I AM A BEGINNER, WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?

Oh welcome my friend! You are about to embark on a wonderful journey, although I am a bit biased on that. I teach all of my classes with the hopes that everyone finds something for themselves. Whether it is giving a lot of verbal directions to each pose, modifications for different types of bodies and skill levels, or soothing breathwork at the end of a stressful day. I hope that you end your class feeling fulfilled, rested, and reinvigorated. Please know that my door is always open if this is not how you are feeling! Message me if you are struggling or want/need to try something new and we can work out what best suits you and your journey.

CAN I BOOK A PRIVATE CLASS?

Absolutely! 1-1 Private classes are available based on mutual availability. These classes will be tailored specifically to you, your body, and your goals. You could be training for a marathon or trying for a baby, or just want a little 1-1 to really nail your Triangle pose! Private classes can be a one-off or a more regular occurance, it is up to you.

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?

The most common pieces of equipment in a yoga class are: a mat, 2 yoga blocks and a yoga strap. These are essential as they provide the basis of modifications in our classes. Any extras (a bolster, more blocks, pads for your knees, eye pillows, etc) are completely up to you! Equipment is available to purchase, please contact Lyndsey for details.

WHY FERTILITY YOGA?

Fertility Yoga encompasses a lot of things. The most commonly thought of answer is that you are trying for a baby, but there is so much more! Fertility yoga also helps women/womxn who are struggling with their menstrual cycle, or don't have one and would still like to connect with their feminine energies. It is a yoga practice that encourages the practitioner to connect with their bodies, womb spaces and minds for a full cycle and beyond.

DO YOU HAVE PRE-RECORDED CLASSES THAT I CAN DO ON MY OWN SCHEDULE?

I do! It is an ever growing library of recorded classes that can be used at your own pace and on your own time. Recorded classes include Hatha Yoga, Prenatal Yoga and 30 Minute Yoga Classes. Please contact Lyndsey for more details on how to access these classes.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

We have a 24 hour cancellation policy for all classes. If you need to cancel or rearrange your class outside of 24hours before, please contact Lyndsey to reschedule your ticket. Within 24 hours, your booked class will count either as a one off ticket or as part of your class pass if you have purchased one.
